Overview:

Evolve Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team providing support in an Evansville, IN medical center. As a Progressive Care Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients who require continuous monitoring and advanced medical interventions. Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen levels
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, such as neonatal ventilators and Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
• Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, Athenahealth)
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions as necessary
• Assist in the coordination of patient transfers to higher levels of care, such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license in the state of Indiana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Previous experience in progressive care or intensive care settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of physiology and pathophysiology
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, Athenahealth)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
